Muhammad & Chess:-

In his wisdom, Muhammad forbade his followers most of the pleasures of the world
- except murder, plunder, booty & rape - such as music, poetry, dancing, drinking, games of intellect, gambling and more.

It is typical of Muhammad, the semi-literate and unlearned, who could not have seen let alone known what a game of chess is all about, make such an arbitrary and unwarranted prohibition.

Sahih Muslim HadithHadith 5612        Narrated byBuraydah ibn al-Hasib
Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him) said: He who played chess is like one who dyed his hand with the flesh and blood of swine.

*** One of the most intellectually stimulating games ever conceived is prohibited by the 'best representative of manhood' ever because INTELLECT was not his FORTE'.

His FORTE' were invariably PHYSICAL such as WAR, PLUNDER, SLAUGHTER, RAPE, ENSLAVEMENT etc. ***
